What is executive coaching?
Executive coaching is quicky becoming a common solution to many "issues" faced by those in a managerial position. Whereas a "consultant" will come in and tell you whats wrong with your business, an executive coach will help thier clients see whats RIGHT and help them get the most from their subordinates. They will teach them how to become a more effective leader, a better boss, in turn increase the productivity and therefore the value, of their department. It is not about I am right and you're wrong, it is more about I can see where you need help, and I will teach you the skills you need as a leader to get the most out of your people. They teach how to build, not focus on "do this my way". Exective coaches need to be able to see the inherent skills and abilites within the client, and provide the tools needed to foster a succesful working environment. A place where their workers thrive is the ultimate goal for any executive and a great coach can help them achieve that goal.
