Leadership coaching is a highly specialized field of coaching.
This is indicative of the many different styles of leadership philosophies that
vary from Ghandi-ish to Patton-esque types of leadership.
Developing the proper skills to attune yourself to each clients
needs is paramount to success in the field. This is where the coaches ability to
recognize the personalities of each client really make a huge impact. Expanding
the client strengths as a natural leader and coaching them to achieve full
potential is key.
Since everybody in a management position views themselves as a
leader, the market for such skills is tremendous. Anybody with subordinates can
increase the productivity of their team by applying techniques you as a
leadership coach will help them develop. Increased productivity will benefit
their position greatly, if you have the right skills to bring out the best in
those you coach.
