Mentoring has been around for as long as civilization itself. It has been the the vehicle by which knowledge has been past down for eons. Mentor coaching is best described as teaching life skills, helping the client learn what it is they need to know about themselves to lead a happy successful life or career. It is a Mentor-Protégé relationship wherein the coach will try to help the client develop life skills WITHOUT having to experiance the trials and tribulations we as human beings often need to go through in order to grow. It has been said that true genius lies in the ability to learn from the mistakes of others. A mentor coach is one who can facilitate this growth, impart wisdom based on their own life experience and save the client from the lengthy, sometimes painful lessons needed in order to achieve their best.
