Leader As Coach-  Receive Coaching and get Tools and Strategies

In addition to your evolved ability to coach, during Leader As Coach Program, you will receive coaching from fellow students and your mentor coach to create a clear communication process to introduce, implement and support an internal coaching initiative. Receive tools and learn strategies to be successful.  Regardless if you are working as a Manager in a department, a Director of a business unit or an employee in a supporting role (HR Business Partner, Operational Efficiency, Talent Development) the training will help you set the stage for internal coaching. Coach Training Alliance prepares you to develop talent and coach employees to help fulfill your organization’s goals.

Who Should NOT Attend?

This class is designed for individuals who are working within an organization and want an ICF approved program to level-up their ability to coach.  This class is not for those who want to become a stand-alone, independent, professional coach (ex: Life Coach, Executive Coach). We find that individuals who plan to go out on their own are best served by the “Certified Coach Program (CCP)” which provides instruction on establishing your ideal client, connecting with your ideal client, marketing your practice, setting rates, and coaching clients towards the change they see for themselves. For those who have completed the Certified Coach Program and are working within an organization, this class will be additive. Leader As Coach is appropriate for CCP graduates who would like to expand on their initial training. Leader As Coach is approved by ICF for 30 CORE Continuing Education Credits (CECs) and 5 Resource Development CECs.  This class will help you develop coaching mastery and you will be coached on your vision of delivering coaching internally at your organization (internal coach and/or leader as coach).

Program Overview

Leader as Coach | Coach Training Alliance

Coach Training Alliance firmly believes education does not take place in a box like a classroom or in a hotel conference room. We establish mastery through practice and actively engaging in our learning rather than in a seminar/workshop which stress the knowledge transfer of theories and mechanics. There are many free resources about coaching. This course provides you with hands on experience coaching others and you receive coaching during the class to experience first-hand the impact and value of coaching. You wouldn’t become a professional tennis player by watching the game on television or a world renowned piano player by just reading an instruction manual. It takes practice. Coaching is no different.

Leader As Coach is about developing human potential- Yours and that of Your Employees. This program is constructed to regularly and consistently improve your ability to coach others in an organization. Classes are conducted via live conference call. in an intimate setting, with a maximum of 12 students, to allow for individual attention, connection with class peers and an environment of focused learning. The weekly calls are 1.5 hours in length and are highly interactive: 10% presentation, 40% discussion and 50% live coaching with authentic work situations.

If you miss a class (or part of a class), recordings are available to participants only. However, requirements for certification and graduation stipulate that participants miss no more than two total classes.

In addition to the live training, you will reference the course material to fuel your experience, inspire your personal growth and strengthen your coaching skills. Additional reading and out of classroom exercises are fully related to your day-to-day responsibilities and make up approximately 1 -1.5 hours per week.
